FIONA's EULOGY

Created by Kersti 11 years ago
When Kersti first asked if I wanted to say something at Shirley’s funeral, I originally thought no … but here I am. One of my most vivid memories of Shirley was at our old house in Myall St. I was about 8 or 9 and I hated reading. Shirley (being a librarian) would bring books up for me to read and lock me in mum’s bedroom until I finished. Needless to say, it didn’t turn me into a reader. Over the last 10 years I was actually a lot closer to Shirley than my mother. So to lose mum 2 months ago and now Shirley, it’s like losing two mothers and it has been very hard. I miss my mother but I will miss Shirley a lot more. Fiona Pearce. 25/6/08
